I might try the beta since i am having problems
with zonealarm pro 5.5

Everytime i try to connect to my network my computer restarts and i get the BSOD.
anyone else having this problem?

Even now I use only ver 4.5,which is a good servant,does the job perfectly.When I upgraded to newer version,it always created problems like preventing access to certain web sites,which I dont like.

BEWARE !!! ZoneAlarm has a backdoor or silent connectivity to its server. Beware your privacy still in jeopardy.

Watchout and BLOCK this IP. See its forum I mentioned three Months ago in 2005 and also in 2004.

Be CAREFULL !!!

You can of course disable this connectivity by unclicking the Preferences->Share my security settings anonymously with Zone Labs.

i regret installing the beta of ZoneAlarm 6 because it stops functioning after a certain amount of time and forces you to download and install the next beta version. i wish i had stuck with 5.5 so i didn't have to keep upgrading every 2 weeks or so, and you can't even install over the top of the old beta it makes you do a complete uninstall and a clean install which means losing all your settings which is somewhat annoying when you have the privacy settings set up for over 20 sites.
i hope it goes final soon so i'm not forced to keep upgrading.

besides that i found 5.5 to be the best firewall i've ever found.

I used to think ZA Pro 5.5 was the best firewall but now I find Outpost Firewall is much better ! If ur still thinking ZA is the best firewall then u should try Outpost. I'm sure u will change your mind soon =)
